Our Story
We knew each other via wholivesnearyou.com in 2004. After chatting over msn for sometime, we exchanged contact and eventually met up on a Saturday(09/10/04) evening. The following day(10/10/04), when we were at Cosy Bay, Eric popped the question asking me to be his gf.
Together, we have gone through different phases of our lives. Although the path of love is not a smooth-sailing one, it is indeed a fulfilling one. The numerous conflicts only helped to bond us closer, the seperation only proves us how important we are to each other, which definitely convinced us that we are simply meant for each other. Thus in 2007, we decided to start a new chapter of our lives with each other.
It's OUR mutual decision Ours aren't like the usual proposal, well-organised with a romantic proposal dinner, flowers, 0.2-1 carat big diamond ring, etc.
However, he did propose last year when we were in Korea, with an amethyst ring bought there. But I did not really agree(something happened then). Thereafter, he did not say anything anymore. In Sept 2007, when a BTO HDB project at Sengkang was released, he asked,"Shall we take a look?" Ultimately, we applied for this HDB.
Finally on 19 Nov 2007, upon receiving the balloting queue number, he said,"Lets' be solemnized next year, but have our customary wedding on the date you always wanted, 10/10/2010." I simply agreed... and now we are in the midst of our solemnization preparation...
However, while preparing, his mother said our customary day has to be picked on an auspicious day, so we may not have it on 10/10/2010. Thus, we are still discussing whether we'll have our customary earlier. Maybe we'll have it in 2008 too, maybe few weeks after our solemnization or end of Nov 2008.
